Nothing Stays the Same

The poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay” by Robert Frost explains to us that nothing ever stays the same and that things get old easily. That’s why I am predicting that the greasers and the socs. will become friends at the end of the book because they are sick of being against each other. The poem says nothing stays the same, things change. Does that mean their friendship will change, and that the feelings toward each other will change? I’m guessing that Cherry will try to get the socs. to like the greasers, and the socs. will eventually forgive the greasers for killing Bob and the two groups will submerge and they will become a whole.

  1. I like this writing piece. You might want to fix some of the repeated words in sentences though.

  2. I liked how you used the poem to help you predict. I think you could add some support to prove your prediction. Over all I really liked your idea of using the poem and predicting.

  3. Great job predicting and it had lots of detail in it. You also did a good job describing why you think that is what the poem means.

  4. I like how you incorporated the poem in your response. I think you could have added a little more detail and support in your piece. But overall I think that this is good.
